I Outsmarted a Toxic Boss…
Then I Built a Game About It.
I'm Raissa Silva — Founder & CEO of Outsmart Your Toxic Boss LLC, and the person who turned one of the worst professional experiences of my life into the most useful — and honestly, hilarious — thing I've ever built.
Here's the short version of how this started: I found myself in a toxic workplace. I didn't blow up and I didn't go quietly. I documented everything — methodically, professionally, without drama. I consulted attorneys, understood my options, and made the strategic decision to represent myself.
As I learned more about workplace abuse, I realized many individuals don't realize they’re being wrongfully managed out until it is too late. So I negotiated my own exit, on my terms, and walked away with a signed agreement that proved my methodology works.
Then I built a card game, instead of another HR manual, that teaches everyone else how to do the same thing.
This led to the birth of Outsmart Your Toxic Boss™ as a brand and a card game called The Corporate Menace™ with scenarios so recognizable and so ridiculous that players laugh before they realize they're also learning something too.
That's the point. Humor creates the distance that clarity needs to exist.
Our first game, The Corporate Menace™, is the result of fifteen months of research, ongoing play testing, and lived experience — developed in consultation with HR leaders, organizational psychologists, and employment attorneys. It has been played by game enthusiasts at a gaming bar in Chicago who had no idea who I was — and they still said "I need this."
The game is the proof of concept. I'm the case study.
If you're in the middle of it right now — the gaslighting, the impossible standards, the boss who moves the goalposts and then writes your subpar review — this game was built for you. Not to make you bitter. To make you strategic. And maybe, eventually, to make you laugh about overcoming a season meant to break you.
Because accountability is what creates change in organizations. And honestly, it's pretty funny when David actually knocks down a wanna-be Goliath. 😏
Our Mission
Our mission is to give every worker the pattern recognition and strategic clarity to protect themselves inside workplaces that were never designed with their interests in mind — and to teach employers how to build organizations where mismanaged entropy doesn't become their legal and reputational demise.
Our core values
-
DOCUMENT IT.
Every worker deserves the tools to name what's happening and prove it. If it isn't written down, it didn't happen.
-
DEMAND BETTER TOOLS.
Employers are customers of every platform, process, and vendor in their stack. That means they have the power — and the responsibility — to escalate feedback and demand tools that protect their people, not just their bottom line.
-
NAME IT.
Dysfunction thrives in ambiguity. When you can see the pattern — whether you're surviving it or designing it out — you can finally fix it.
-
BUILD IT BETTER.
Organizations don't become toxic overnight. They become toxic because no one built in accountability from the start. Employers have the power to change that before it becomes a liability.
-
LAUGH AT IT.
People are human first — and humans need to laugh, especially at the absurd. Humor creates the distance that clarity needs. When you can laugh at the pattern instead of drown in it, the anxiety lifts enough to actually see your next move. That's not avoidance. That's how change gets implemented and how you overcome.
-
WIN TOGETHER.
The goal was never just to outsmart one toxic boss. It's to build workplaces where nobody has to. 😏

Still a Little Skeptical?
Good. Skepticism is a survival skill — and this brand was built by someone who used it well.
